Ecuador might finally get wastewater treatment

The capital city of Ecuador, Quito, currently combines wastewater and storm water into a combined sewer.  Afterwards the wastewater flows into the major river system, creating drinking water challenges for an expanding population of 2.2 million people.

Ecuador’s utility service recently announced a contract for building a wastewater treatment system. Read more about this announcement here.
