Oily wastewater is processed for renewable fuels by removing the water and solids, resulting in used oil.  To create used oil with the greatest value, it must have little to no water and no solids remaining after the separation process.

Finding a cost-effective oil separation process

The challenge for manufacturers is finding a separation process that is cost-effective and yields used oil with the least amount of water content.  The other problem is making sure that the used oil or oily wastewater is non-hazardous.
